Ghana Rugby League
The Ghana Rugby League project was initiated by the Rugby League European Federation and UK Sport in June 2012, as the pilot project in the RLIF’s West Africa expansion initiative. The National Governing Body, Ghana Rugby League, was inaugurated on 6 April 2014 in Accra and became an Observer of the RLEF on 7 August 2014 and obtain Affiliate members of the IRL and RLEF in 2020.
The GRL is run by a Board of seven Directors, elected from the membership , with each having a renewable two year term mandate. The supreme organ of the GRL is the Council, convened by the members at least once annually.
