After ninety nine years of rugby league in Wales Wednesday 26 April 2006 saw a new chapter in the games history begin in Wales. With autonomous status approved by the RFL on January 1 2006, and with our National Governing Body of Sport later confirmed by the Sports council for Wales, this was a new beginning for rugby league in Wales.
